Cynthia Mare looks absolutely beautiful in her latest video 'Hatina Musha' and it pleases me to hear that she will be on the line up for this years Zim Fest 2012.
Her voice is like gold and this track bring tears to my eyes. Sung in her mother tongue, Shona, Cynthia explains that message behind the track; “My siblings and I used to sing this with my mother. It means we don't have a real home here on earth. We belong with God in heaven and when our time comes we will go back there, where we belong. That’s where we can find real peace, rest and relief from our worldly troubles. So when we lose our loved ones we should know they are going to that special place. We must not feel too sad for them although we grieve and miss them.”
After loosing her mother last year, she was inspired to produce a new album titled: Nziyo Dzaidiwa Naamai (Songs My Mother Loved) which will be released this year.
A job well done indeed.
Love x
