MI2 ALBUM LAUNCH @ THE INDIGO2

The eagerly anticipated MI2 album launch finally took place at the Indigo2 on Thursday the 28th April. I went with my girlies Christinah, Mide and Annabel. It was no surprise that this event started late. 7pm it was scheduled to start, but no one saw any body on stage until way after 8pm...so we decided to pose for picture instead...HA!

Finally the microphone magician gave us a lyrically magical performance with his label buddies- Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz and Brymo. The feedback from the crowed was intense with die hard fans rapping back the lyrics to every single song, it came as no surprise when Ice Prince dashed himself into the audience where he almost got taken out by his own fans. Men and women alike pushed and shoved their way to the front to try and get a picture or a better view of the action on stage.

Check out a quick preview of Jesse Jagz's 'Nobody test me' with MI and Ice Prince...

Highlights of the event was MI's performance to his 'One Naira' track. He pulled out a female fan to sing the hook and we were all glad to hear that she could sing. At the end of the song Waje surprised the crowed as she took to the mic and burst into song. Dressed in casual jeans and a t-shirt, she didn't have time to change as she came on stage straight from the airport. She made it just in time to share her amazing, powerful vocals on this track. This song is definitely one for the girls and is now one of Christinah's favorite tracks- she wont stop singing it!

Catch just a glimpse of Ice Prince's 'Oleku' performance. I must say I do love Brymo's soothing voice on this track. When the song dropped some girl behind me thought it was smart to start pushing me so I had to stop filming:

Despite the late start to the show and the 'press passes' that didn't give us any access because the good old bouncers decided to be difficult at the door; it was an impressive night indeed. Another successful event powered by Coko bar....clap for yourselves guys!

Love x
